Norah & Chris // Annadel Estate Wedding // Santa Rosa & Napa Photographer

I’m finally taking on the extremely daunting task of catching up on the blog! I have over 50 posts just waiting for me to compose and publish them, so here I go…hope to be sharing more with you on a more consistent basis in the future.

I had to start with this lovely day at Annadel Estate in Santa Rosa, because these two are the absolute sweetest and their day was an extra beautiful one. We loved that Norah and Chris flew all the way out from Washington DC to get married in the sunshine-filled wine country, surrounded by all of their favorite people. You would’ve never known that it was pouring rain the night before. The entire event had such a warm, inviting and intimate atmosphere and every space was designed to perfection thanks to Alicia K Designs who not only did the event design and coordination, but also did all of the floral design and guest lounge areas too. Guests were well taken care of that day, and they got to enjoy so many different areas of the property from the old ruins for the ceremony, to a shady oak grove for cocktail hour to an open field with a view of the vineyards for dinner. I’m still obsessed with the custom structure thatZephyr Tents constructed for the reception. I loved how romantic and elegant the space was while still retaining a down-to-earth, rustic feel that was so fitting for a Napa wedding. It honestly could not have been a more perfect day for a more deserving couple! See more of their wedding published on Carats and Cake here, and find the full list of vendors below.

Devine Ranch wedding inspiration | Santa Cruz photographer | Style Me Pretty feature

Gabe and I had such an amazing experience working with this team of creative and hard-working friends within the wedding industry to bring this inspiration shoot to life. Laurel from Esla Events conceptualized, designed and co-styled the shoot and I love that she wanted to show a natural, quiet, and slightly understated wedding style while focusing on some of the process and movement involved in an event, rather than just sticking with static images. Devine Ranch was the perfect location for the shoot thanks to grandeur of the spaces, the horses all over the property, the stone fireplaces, the lovely barn, and all of the sweeping valley views. Devine Ranch is a private estate that’s just opened up as a wedding venue and we’re definitely hoping to shoot lots of weddings there in the future. There is inspiration on every single acre of that property, and the owners made us feel so welcomed and at home there. We have to thank Shannon from OTL Vintage Rentals, Fionna Floral, Skyla Arts and all 4 of our awesome models for making this shoot such a beautiful one. Colorful Nestldown wedding featured on the Wedding Chicks | Los Gatos wedding photographer

Nestldown has to be one of the most magical venues ever, but it becomes even more memorable when it’s coupled with the design ideas of Every Elegant Detail, the whimsical floral creations of Amy Burke Designs, and a wonderful couple together with all of their huge-hearted friends and family. It really was a perfect day and I’m so happy to see it published on The Wedding Chicks today! Check out the full feature and the full list of vendors here.

Carmel Valley Ranch | Style Me Pretty feature | Carmel wedding photographer

You know it’s going to be a good wedding when wild deer walk along beside your car as your drive up to the venue in the morning. Carmel Valley Ranch is such a uniquely beautiful and peaceful venue and it was the perfect location for Karen & Ramsey’s wedding that was inspired by all things natural and elegant. We couldn’t be happier about the fact that Style Me Pretty just featured this wedding and highlighted all of the classic Californian beauty that filled the day. Check out the full post here to see more photos of this gorgeous couple and to find links to the killer vendor team that made this day so photogenic, including Amy Byrd, Shawn Cavlan Beauty Co. and Fionna Floral among others. Holman Ranch wedding | Carmel Photographer | Style Me Pretty

I can’t think of a better way to start the new year than with this feature about one of our most memorable weddings from last year. It’s always a huge honor for us to get published on Style Me Pretty, and I’m in love with all of the pastel details and olive branch elements that they chose to highlight from the day. There were countless beautiful moments and personal touches throughout the whole weekend full of celebrations, but some of my favorites included the picnic-style rehearsal dinner full of lawn games and featuring an olive oil mixing station, the mother of the bride’s stunning outfit that I intend to copy one day when and if one of my kids gets married, Yael and Dylan’s recession down the aisle as husband and wife, the most well-written and perfectly presently best man’s speech of all time that had Gabe and I dying with laughter, the father of the bride’s accordion playing that led everyone into the barn to start the dance party, and watching the happy couple dance together in an open field as the sun went down that day. It really was a wedding to remember. You can check out the full post, and the full list of talented vendors here.

Holman Ranch wedding feature | Smitten Magazine | Carmel photographer

I loved getting to re-live Kyle & Dylan’s beautiful wedding full of rustic elegance up at Holman Ranch thanks to Smitten Magazine’s recent feature. This was such a sweet couple to work with alongside Allison from Engaged & Inspired and the talented team over at Fionna Floral, and I love that we’ve kept in touch with them both ever since. Kyle’s family owns the company that make the iconic Ball mason jars, so it was beyond fitting that they used those jars throughout their design. You can see more details and highlights over at the Smitten Magazine feature here.

pinterest wedding | queen latifah show

The power of pinterest in undeniable, and I’ve been a fan for years. Couples have found me and booked me just because of images they’ve seen on pinterest, and some of my more popular weddings have been pinned over 10,000 times each…which is just crazy! My latest ‘I love pinterest’ moment came when I got a call from one of the producers of the Queen Latifah Show and asked if they could use one of my images in an upcoming segment. It turns out that the guy who planned a surprise wedding for his girlfriend using her pinterest board ‘ my dream wedding’ as the inspiration, chose 12 of her 200 pins to plan the wedding around, and some of my images made the cut. He made wedding programs similar to the ones that Sarah and Gloria created for their wedding, so I made sure that Sarah’s shop got credit on the show too. I’m still in love with those hand-sewn linen programs, especially because they shared fun facts about each member of the bridal party. You can see a highlight from the segment here.

wedding chicks features clos la chance wedding

This wedding has to be one of my favorites because it was so incredibly full of all of the things that matter the most: love, family, friends and a whole lot of fun. Then when you add in all of the beauty of a venue like Clos La Chance and great vendors like Nicole Ha doing florals, the day can’t be anything but memorable in the best way. I’m so excited that the Wedding Chicks did such such a beautiful feature on this wedding, and I’m truly thankful to all of the talented vendors who helped make this day so perfect for Lara & Anthony, (you’ll find the full vendor list at the bottom of the feature.)
